The Vietnam - Australia EdTech Alliance was founded on April 18th, witnessed by Senator Don Farrell, Australia's Minister for Trade and Tourism; Andrew Goledznowski, the Australian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary; and representatives from the Australian Government's Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).

This is a non-profit network, established by educational technology and online education organizations from Vietnam and Australia with support from Austrade. The network aims to create a sustainable forum for member organizations to exchange information and develop partnerships, contributing to the realization of digital transformation goals in Vietnam's education sector.

The Alliance aims to support Australian educational technology organizations in accessing and expanding their operations in Vietnam through participation in an official platform for information exchange and market development.

The Alliance also aims to facilitate Australian and Vietnamese businesses in exchanging updated market information, innovative solutions and products, identifying cooperation opportunities, and exploring potential collaborations.

Immediately after the establishment of the Vietnam - Australia EdTech Alliance, Austrade, in collaboration with the Hanoi Innovation and Startup Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, organized two seminars on "Application of Vietnam - Australia Educational Technology 2023" in Hanoi (April 18th) and Ho Chi Minh City (April 19th). These seminars aimed to showcase Australia's capabilities in the field of educational technology and online education. They provided an opportunity for edtech organizations and businesses from both countries to exchange knowledge, market information, and develop trade cooperation opportunities.

Through these activities, the seminars aimed to identify challenges and find solutions for Australia's digital transformation and understand Vietnam's needs in preparing resources to achieve its digital transformation goals in education by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Australia is a country with nearly 1,900 online education organizations, including over 700 edtech companies. With an education system ranging from preschool to university that meets international standards, strict policy frameworks, and strong research application and innovation capabilities, Australia's edtech sector is developing robustly and setting industry standards globally.
