According to a recent report by ABS-CBN News, Education Secretary Sonny Angara reaffirmed the Marcos Jr. administration's commitment to enhancing education in the Philippines by integrating digital literacy into the curriculum.

During his speech at the 4th Philippine-Singapore Business and Investment Summit (PSBIS) on September 19 in Singapore, Angara highlighted that the Department of Education is actively working to incorporate coding into the local educational system. He said, “We are working to incorporate coding into our curriculum and utilizing educational technology like analytics to assess learners in real-time. This will enable teachers to focus more on teaching and less on administrative tasks, improving the quality of education.”

This initiative aims to equip students with essential digital literacy skills, ensuring they are prepared for the fast-changing tech landscape and maintaining the Philippines' competitiveness on the global stage.
