The International Robothon 2024 adopts the theme "Industry 5.0 Revolution."

The 2024 International Robothon competition will take place on November 24, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand, marking the return of this annual event for students from primary to secondary schools who are passionate about STREAM Robotics. According to the organizers, the theme of the 2024 International Robothon competition is โ€œDigital Nexusโ€ - Industry 5.0 Revolution, aiming towards a near-future context where the emergence of Industry 5.0 will open up a whole new world, where humans and robots not only accompany each other but also cooperate strongly and creatively.

The challenge of human-robot collaboration then is not only a technological issue but also a far-reaching impact of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things on all aspects of society.

It is the perfect combination of the digital world and the physical world that has ushered in a new era of connectivity, automation, and data-driven decision-making. In this context, the Robothon competition is not just a playground but also an opportunity to challenge and explore the potential of the young generation in an exciting relationship with robots.

The competition focuses on three main objectives:

First, creating a playground for students to explore and nurture their passion for STEM Robotics, showcase their abilities, and interact with friends domestically and internationally.

Second, connecting students with the world around them, thereby recognizing their responsibilities towards the local and global communities; at the same time, applying learned knowledge and skills to make a difference in ways that align with cultural and sustainable development goals.

Third, gradually equipping students with integrated STEM skills, including programming thinking, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to the ever-changing world, ready to meet the global competencies of citizens in the Digital Age.

Participants are students who have completed the Robothon competition training program organized by partner agents of the Education Technology Company for Vietnamese People and registered to participate in the National Competition, consisting of four age groups.

The task of the contestants is to apply STEM Robotics knowledge and skills to program and control robots to optimally complete the given tasks.

Robothon is an annual themed STEM Robotics competition for students in the Asian region, organized by Eduspec Holdings Berhad (Malaysia) for the past 18 years at city, national, and international levels. The goal of the competition is to help students explore real-world issues today with innovative solutions based on integrated knowledge and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
