The 19th International Robothon Competition concluded successfully on November 24, 2024, at Sea Complex Convention & Community Hall, Bangkok, Thailand. Organized by Eduspec Holdings Berhad (Malaysia) and supported by regional education ministries, the event brought together the best young minds in STEM Robotics from across Southeast Asia.

Themed "Digital Nexus: Industry 5.0", this year’s competition challenged students to explore the intersection of robotics, AI, and digital twin technology, empowering them to design and program robots capable of solving real-world industrial challenges. This prestigious event welcomed 142 outstanding teams, featuring participants from Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, showcasing their innovative prowess and competitive spirit.

Pythaverse and Leanbot: Driving Innovation in STEM Education

A key highlight of this year’s competition was the exceptional performance of Leanbot, with 95 participating teams, the largest contingent among the three premier STEM robots. The Leanbot category, powered by the Pythaverse Digital Twin Learning Platform, provided students with unparalleled opportunities to experience cutting-edge, hands-on robotics education.

Pythaverse is the ultimate Digital Twin Learning Platform, revolutionizing how students, teachers, and schools engage with AI, IoT, Robotics, and Metaverse technologies. Through Pythaverse, students were able to simulate real-world scenarios, designing solutions that align with Industry 5.0 demands.

Outstanding Achievements by Country

Leanbot teams excelled across four levelsApprentice, Veteran, Expert, Elite, and Open, demonstrating creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration.

Vietnam: 19 prizes (1 Champion, 1 First Runner Prize, 10 Distinction Prizes, 7 Excellence Prizes)

Malaysia: 15 prizes (3 Champions, 4 First Runner Prizes, 3 Second Runner Prizes, 3 Distinction Prizes, 2 Excellence Prizes).

Philippines: 1 Champion, 1 First Runner Prize, 2 Second Runner Prizes, 1 Distinction Prize, 2 Excellence Prizes

Indonesia: 2 Excellence Prizes

Thailand: 1 Excellence Prize.
